SUMMARY:Wairarapa Bookshop Hop
DESCRIPTION:Booksellers of the Wairarapa have joined together to celebrate NZ Bookshop Day with a Wairarapa wide Bookshop Hop on Saturday 8 October 2022. \nCollect an official map from any of the participating stores. For each store you visit and make a purchase from on the day you’ll receive a stamp on your map. Each stamp gives you an additional entry into the grand prize draw for $650 worth of bookshop vouchers – $50 from every participating store! \nOne of the (many) great things about Wairarapa is that we have 13 bookshops all within about 30 minutes drive of one and other\, so it’s entirely possible for you to hop around all 13 bookshops if you feel so inclined! \nMany of the stores will also run their own promotions on the day and the offical map includes special food and beverage offers from Finom Kitchen in Carterton and The White Swan in Greytown. \nThe first of its kind in New Zealand\, organiser Millie Blackwell of Mrs Blackwell’s Village Bookshop in Greytown\, was inspired by an event she’d participated in while living in California where knitting stores get together for a Yarn Store Hop every spring.
