Village of Entrepreneurs

Join a melting pot of serious talent and spark or reinvent your work-life. Many of us made the move to Martinborough to shed our city lifestyles and we’ll never look back. Now Martinborough is a wealth of professional experience and inspiration just waiting for your new ideas.

Family Friendly

A few years ago, New Zealand was voted the best place in the world to raise family. Word got around and Martinborough’s now a growing, family-friendly village, ideal for raising healthy, outdoorsy kids. A growing village and region means your family and business opportunities are considerable.

Close to Wellington

Martinborough is gloriously rural, but public transport here is great so commuting to Wellington is easy. Catch a bus to the Featherston train station and you’ll find yourself in Wellington without using a car at all.

Safe

We cherish our safe, rural community and work together to protect it. The Martinborough Business Association recently installed CCTV cameras in the centre of town, so you can feel confident that we look after our families and businesses.

Local Education

Martinborough School

Martinborough School is a full primary school, of about 270 students, It is located centrally within the wine growing area of the South Wairarapa. The positive school tone and culture make for a productive teaching and learning environment. Our focus is on the future with the way in which learning occurs and in the development of the skills our children will need to be successful in life. Our ability to access relevant exciting learning opportunities outside of the classroom is a feature of our region. Staff and children alike are heavily involved in learning new skills making learning engaging, motivating and challenging.
