Close to Wellington

We cherish our safe, rural community and work together to protect it. The Martinborough Business Association recently installed CCTV cameras in the centre of town, so you can feel confident that we look after our families and businesses.
Around one hundred and ten local businesses are members. Our members span accommodation , restaurants, bars and breweries, retail food, fashion and homeware, primary producers, adventures, local trades, conferences, professional service.
As you would expect these business owners bring a vast range of experiences and expertise to the Association and its members. We facilitate social networking opportunities for members to get together and help one another when needed. About Martinborough Business Association
The Martinborough Business Association represents a collective of more than 105 businesses in Martinborough and the surrounding area.
Its aim is to support and grow local businesses – simple as that.
The Association provides – a platform to promote and support local business growth and development, aligns and collaborates with Martinborough tourist/visitor promotion organisations, and advocates for the business community with Council and other service organisations.
The Association has a business plan to guide and stear the Committee’s focus and activities. Communications with the membership are frequent via Facebook, internet and email along with monthly contributions to the “Martinborough Star” for the wider business and local community information and the Wairarapa Times Age for specific events and issues.
We link with broader regional groups like Destination Wairarapa, Business Wairarapa and the Wairarapa Economic Development Strategy to ensure that we have visibility of the big picture when we act local !
The wide membership base provides diversity and opportunity for discovery of ideas and innovations through the Associations networking workshops across the year. We aim to have a minimum of four each year. Additionally working with broader Wairarapa groups enhances these opportunities.
