Blue Earth Olives

Mike fell in love with the Wairarapa a long time ago, but it took a long time to convince Margaret. We finally found the perfect place – beautiful views, on the bend of the Ruakakapatuna River, a lovely stand of native bush, and lots of land that needed to be used somehow. Our first response was olives, which we started planting in 1998. The olive grove now has over 1100 trees.

Since then, we have also established a vineyard, which produces sought after, premium pinot noir and pinot gris. . In the rest of the land we have planted hardwood trees and extended the areas of native bush.

We love sharing this special place with others, so please contact us if you would like to visit the olive grove or vineyard.
